When I went to Saint Lucia for my honeymoon, it seemed like a great time to see if my beauty products can step up to the heat and travel. Below are some of my favorites.
1. SPF Protection
Seems obvious right? However, it's surprising how many people actually forget about this.
Murad: Invisiblur Perfecting Shield broad spectrum SPF 30 PA+++
Overall, I love Murad products. I also use their skin care regimen and I loved this product as well. It blurs out blemishes as well and I mean who doesn't want that? $68, Sephora https://seph.me/2KZJkci
Coppertone Clearly Sheer Whipped Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30
I love that this sunscreen rubs into your skin so well. Sometimes sunscreens can leave your skin feeling oily but this absorbs very easily. It isn't carry-on friendly but you'll be glad you packed it. $10, Target https://bit.ly/2urr1Cy
2. Facial Wipes
Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes
Being in a tropical location, it is completely normal to sweat. My husband is known for always having his camera and I didn't want to be caught in a photo overly shiny. These are easy to travel with and I would pack these wipes in my beach bag or purse. $5, Target https://bit.ly/2zGW4iE
3. Waterproof Makeup
I am obsessed with water! Like obsessed. I can stay in a pool or in the ocean for hours. I really think I was a mermaid in another life. So I'm obviously going to pack waterproof makeup that I can use and not worry about.
I love this mascara! We went snorkeling, visited the pools, and swam in the ocean and my eye makeup was in tact! $24, Mac https://bit.ly/2JtKRSi
I was never a hat person and frankly, I get pretty self-conscious wearing them. However, I did know I needed a hat as an added protection for UV-Rays. I also wanted to get something cute because if I was going to wear a hat for the first time it should make a statement right? I bought a large floppy hat from DSW that I love and I still wear. I guess all I needed was to find something I like! I couldn't find the one I actually used but I did find a cute one at Nordstorm for $25. https://bit.ly/2LllGGM
5. Cosmetics Bag
Sonia Kashuk Classic Travel Bag
You definitely want to make sure you have a bag that you can carry all your go-to essentials for your trip. $15, Target. https://bit.ly/2NXmPT9
6. Anti Frizz Serum
Garnier Fructis Anti Frizz Serum
If you're going somewhere known for its humidity you will thank me later! I have naturally wavy/curly hair which results in a lot of frizz especially in high humidity. This serum was my go to to tame my out of control mane! $5, Target. https://bit.ly/2NlmsR7
7. Lip Care
If you only take one lip balm with you, it should be this one. It moisturizes, has SPF 15, and has a pretty pop of color. $24, Sephora. https://seph.me/2Lq4Xii
